Wonder what else you have missed out on by simply making a quick Judgement
What an anointed voice!! I thank God for allowing the world to hear this beautiful voice. Through his trials and tribulations, he sings a Prayer.
Today, let's celebrate the divinity in everyone and let LOVE prevail.
The 90-Year-Old Face of MAC
It's no secret that Hollywood puts a premium on youth and beauty. While it's not hard to see why fresh faces like Emma Stone and Lily Collins are emulated around the world, isn't it unrealistic to stay a twenty-something forever? What woman really looks like Cindy Crawford or Jennifer Aniston in their 40s?
And isn't there something a bit more graceful in the way Meryl Streep has aged as opposed to say, Nicole Kidman?
The Today show featured a segment today on the recent changing attitudes towards aging and beauty led by the likes of Diane Keaton and Ellen DeGeneres, and featured none other than Iris Apfel, MAC's 90-year-old spokeswoman!
"We have had an insane love affair with youth," says Apfel, the legendary interior designer/fashion icon who's launched her own textile firm and worked at the White House for nine presidents. "Youth is beautiful and wonderful, but there's a lot more. Life doesn't stop when you're 30."
And clearly, MAC's gutsy move more than paid off -- their highly anticipated Iris Apfel collection, which included richly colored lipsticks as an homage to Iris's own signature bright red lip, sold out within days.
"I think it's pitiful that people lie about their age," Iris tells Today. "What's wrong with getting old? I think if you're lucky enough to get old, you should celebrate it."
Hmmm ... hope Demi Moore is listening.

Model Alliance Working To Pass The Freelancer Payment Protection Act
Since announcing its launch back in 2010,the Model Alliance has moved swiftly to establish fair labor standards for the modeling industry, a place where glamour and fame often obscure poor working conditions.
The group's latest effort is The FreelancerPayment Protection Act, a law already passed in the New York State Assembly but still under review in the state Senate. The law, founder Sara Ziff explains on ModelAlliance.org, would protect models and other freelancers in New York by allowing them to file complaints against clients that won't pay up.
If the complaint is upheld after an investigation by the New York State Department of Labor, the client can be forced to pay everything owed to the model plus interest and lawyer's fees.
Getting paid fairly and on time is just one of the many labor issues Model Alliance is trying to bring to light. "The idea of models organizing may seem frivolous or, worse, downright funny - models are certainly not the people you picture when you think of child labor or bad working conditions," former model Jenna Sauers told Reuters. But since its February 2012 launch, the Alliance has already identified several areas in need of critical examination and improvement.
One hot topic is the payment of models in "trade" (clothing) instead of money. "Many top designers pay their models in clothes -- not cash. This doesn't have to be the case,"Ziff told Reuters. One of those top designers being Marc Jacobs, who made headlines when one of his models blogged about getting paid with just a single outfit for dozens of hours worked for his Fall 2012 show.
Those wildly long hours are also a focus of the Model Alliance. The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) included in its newly released guidelines that models under the age of 18 should not work past midnight. Yet Marc Jacobs kept his one of his 17-year-old model working till 4:30am. He, along with other designers, continue to flout the CFDA by hiring models under the age of 16, the suggested age limit.
Also included in the Model Alliance's agenda is addressing drug exposure, eating disorders and sexual harassment in the business. A new study included the following findings:
- Almost 80% of models say they've been exposed to drugs on the job, with 50% saying they've been exposed to cocaine.
- 28% of models say they've felt pressured to have sex with someone at work.
- 29% say they've experienced unwanted sexual harassment.
Now, in addition to age limits, fair payment, reasonable hours and protection against drugs and sexual harassment, the Model Alliance is taking on the deadbeat clients. Ziff is asking for 5,000 supporters to sign letters to New York Senator Dean Skelos to get the Freelancer Payment Protection Act passed by its June deadline.
Tyson Beckford: I Helped My Girlfriend Tone Up, Become A Real Model
Tyson Beckford isn't the top male model on our radar these days (that distinction goes to Baptiste Giabiconi, who's been running around town with one bright-haired pop star). But his new gig as a judge on "Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model" has seemingly earned him the respect of Brits, who interviewed him for the London Evening Standard.
So what else has the 41-year-old male model been up to these days? The Evening Standard finds that he's been spending time with Victoria's Secret model Shanina Shaik, whom he met while filming the reality TV show "Make Me A Supermodel."And it sounds like Tyson has been busy doing just that:
‘When I found her she was a regular girl. I helped place her with the right people, get her teeth cleaned, her body toned up,’ he says, framing himself as the Henry Higgins of fashion. ‘Everything changed and now everyone wants a piece of her. I hear people say, “You can do better than Tyson.” I’m like, “Really? Really?! I created her!”?’
As the Telegraph notes, Shanina may be less than pleased to learn she was Tyson's fixer-upper. But her boyfriend bills himself as a supermodel with plenty of worldly experience:
'As a supermodel I go with the other supers round the world: Dubai one day, Paris the next. There’s partying. I’ll wake up in a hotel room and there are people all over the floor and I’m like, “Is this really happening?” One time in Miami I woke up in the bathtub.’Working with female supers continues to be a rush. ‘I play second fiddle to them, but that’s fine. Linda’s great, and Elle, Naomi -- though I’ve seen her dark side. They all like to have fun.’
Must all be research for his role as boyfriend-cum-supermodel instructor
Claudia Schiffer Guess Campaign Marks Brand's 30th Anniversary
"There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged," Nelson Mandela wrote once, "to find the ways in which you yourself have altered."
Unless you're Claudia Schiffer, of course, and returning to the brand that launched your name several decades ago proves just how much you've stayed the same.
The German supermodel will be revisiting her famous black and white ads for Guess?, shooting a series of similar spots in honor of the brand's 30th anniversary. Just as she did in her six campaigns shot between 1989 and 1991, Schiffer will be posing for photographer Ellen von Unwerth.
"[Schiffer] was a turning point of Guess, she was a turning point of Ellen’s career, Guess was a turning point of a life for Claudia,” Guess CEO Paul Marciano toldWomen's Wear Daily. In 1989, Schiffer had only recently been discovered and Guess as a company was only about eight years old.
But Ellen's photographs, particularly one showing Claudia with upswept hair wearing nothing but a black lace bustier, made everyone take notice. At the time, she was just around 19 years old.
Now Claudia, 41, is a married mother of three who spends more time behind the scenes designing knitwear than modeling. And yet in front of the camera, she doesn't seem to have aged at all since 1989. If not for the "30 Sexy years!" scrawled across the new ads, we wouldn't be able to tell which were the vintage spots and which were shot this year.
See both new and old (1989!) pics below. Seriously, how does she do it?

Kate Hudson Takes a Break for Ann Taylor
We hope Kate Hudson doesn't wrinkle her dress in the new ad campaign for Ann Taylor, photographed by Tom Munro. According to Elle, this is the first time she's been seen in a campaign since a certain Tommy Hilfiger moment in the nineties. (Does anybody recall this?) Why now? She tells Elle that she has a little time off, and it was "one of those things when they ask and the time is right." There we have it! Hudson follows Ann Taylor alums Demi Moore, Katie Holmes, and Naomi Watts.

Look how young Naomi looks in Cavalli's Spring/Summer campaign! Steven Meisel shot Ms. Campbell with Karen Elson, Kristen McMeanmy and Daphne Groenveld at Pier 59 in New York. Clever casting, non? We'll let their press release explain this shot of Naomi: "For the image shot for the Florence bag, the new "It" bag of the Maison, Naomi's face is lit up with a sweet and attractive smile, enhancing her indisputable beauty and charisma."
Transgender Miss Universe Canada Finalist Jenna Talackova Disqualified From Competition
She may look every bit the part of a beauty queen, but Jenna Talackova has lost her chance for the crown because she was born a biological male.
The 23-year-old Miss Universe Canada finalist was disqualified from the competition after it was discovered she had undergone sexual reassignment surgery, reports CTV.
National director of Miss Universe Canada Denis Davila told the Toronto Star that while they consider Talackova to be a "real girl," Miss Universe rules stipulate that contestants must be a “naturally born female.”
Davila also told the Star that Talackova indicated on her registration form that she was born female. Talackova was disqualified the same day she revealed she was in fact born a male.
According to a statement from Miss Universe Canada, Talackova was disqualified because "she did not meet the requirements to compete despite having stated otherwise on her entry form. We do, however, respect her goals, determination and wish her the best."
In a 2010 interview, Talackova said she knew she was a female at age 4 and began hormone therapy at age 14. She underwent reassignment surgery at 19.
Talackova told CTV she's "not giving up" and is consulting a lawyer. In the mean time, Miss Universe Canada has removed all photos of the Vancouver resident from their website and another woman has taken her spot.
